This is a very broad question that I hope some of you will help narrow in scope.
In general, how does one become certified/licensed as a contractor specializing in hydronics ?
(in addition to apprenticing with a contractor.)
There are several issues here but I am mainly interested in the educational aspect of satisfying
the licensing authorities of the state for let's say a Class B contractor for handling most residential
projects.
There is also the matter of being able to attend seminars/classes offered by manufacturers such as Viessmann, which seems to be
limited to folks in the trade.
I could contact one of the local companies but thought the Wall would be a better place to start instead of
bothering someone over the phone.
Thank for you help - just trying to get my bearings straight.

License
Hi Alan,
In Virginia, you need to have a master hvac or master plumber license in order to sit for the Class B contractor test. You also have to show proof on insurance and financial responsibility. Check out the link below. -DF
