NEW BOILER FOR MY HOME

I live in Northern NJ and I am putting in a new boiler. I am choosing between the Pinnacle PI-199 and the Slant Fin Sentry. Any feedback on these units would be appreciated. ie: What should I expect to pay? Performance? Problems with the unit. etc.

    Pinnacle

Here is a letter I received from a customer regarding the Pinnacle boiler installation we did.

The original boiler was fired at 275,000 btu's and they had a seperate gas water heater.

The original boiler and water heater were back drafting into the house when ever they ran their exhaust hood for the gas stove.

We installed a PI-199 and a Phase III 50 gallon indirect.

Maybe this letter will help you with your decision.

    With all due respect Mark.....

your customer received most of the benefits because of your installation and attention to important details. The Slant/Fin Sentry boiler, if carefully installed, by a contractor as competent as you, in the proper application will result in a very competitively priced installation that will prove to have excelllent life cycle costs. Any boiler is no better than the installer.

    No arguments here

You are correct. It wouldn't matter who's boiler went in if the contractor had no clue as to proper design and installation.

Did that sound like someone tooting their own horn?????

For the record, Slant/Fin is a great company!!
