That's a great idea. Maybe someone should come up with a catchy design for an ad that everyone can use -- just change the company name.
I am working on a Power Point presentation on CO detection and the slides keep adding up as I find more information. By the time I'm done, I will have a disclaimer for the meeting attendees, such as "Warning: Attending my seminar may result in CO poisoning symptoms - headaches and dizziness." There is so much conflicting information out there that it has been giving me a headache!
At least Mark's ad is simple and straight to the point.0 -
Mark, great ad
I also looked at your web site. It really is well put together and I like the info on CO.
By the way how do you rate the Lifebreath system? Do you use it with a water heater hookup?
I am also curious about price on the system, if you do not want to list it here send me an e-mail.0 -
co problems
I think you should limit yourself to the heating system and water heater.Or what ever your expert training covers.Your add implies a whole house co safety inspection. After this inspection people have nothing to worry about as far as co problems. Some problems that may arise are .You need a co machine,of the highest quality that needs to be calibrated as per the manufacture's recomendation.Mine is done monthly.Ahouse may be safe in the winter and dangerous in the summer, attic fan for an example. After you leave changes to the house can be made.EX. close in furnace and water heater in a area to make it a confined area. Are you an expert on gas logs, space heaters, vented and unvented? What are you going to do when you find a problem?Like a wood burning stove in a nat gas chimney or oil chimney? Are you looking inside chimneys? Are you lowering a chimney scaning camara to look for missing, cracked or mis-alignment of clay liners. If chimney was relined are you checking the installation and calculations? Are you familar with gas ranges some put out high co readings. What about those restaurant style ranges in houses that are considered a confined space.I had one that put out 270ppm wiyh only 6 pilot ligts on.Any way I thought of the same thing years ago and talked myself out of it.Too many lawyers in my neck of the woods.I'm sure your ins. co would love to hear your new bussiness venture. To drum up bussiness I would go after the ,tune up market, saving money on heating, setback thermostat. Then while on the job come up with a basic co check.Check flue gas, venting, pull smoke pipe from chimney-vent,and look at with light and mirror.Hot air check heat exchanger.Old boilers and new check for co around the boiler itself.Places of co leakage, improper installation of draft hood, poor or worn out seal around access panals.Good Luck! Its a good idea, just hope you don't get burned.

I hold certifications as a CO analyst, not limited to heating and plumbing systems.
When I do a "Whole House Audit" I am in fact checking the WHOLE HOUSE.
I meant my ad to imply the whole house.
Thanks!
