honeywell CT3500 question

Im thinking of going with a honeywell CT3500 t-stat for my gas fired steam boiler both for simplicity and cost. I really just need it to start my boiler in the morning before I wake up and the rest of the day Im fine with manually controlling it.
Any opinions on this make/model for my situation? Someone recommended the Danfoss 8000 but that was close to $300 and I think a bit overkill for me. This is just for single family house ,heat only no central AC.
thanks
