Recent steam job

But there was stuff piled up celing height all around the boiler . This was one of those jobs that had alot of problems - both header pipes were pitched the wrong way - going up towards their return pipes , one header went into a bull headed tee to a radiator and a return , the other main went into a bull tee to a main vent and a return . A potentially big water hammer and spitting radiator problem to be sure .

  • Trying to make the best of it

I wanted to twin the mains into the header on the boiler itself , but there simply was no room , or no way to correct the pitch of the existing main towards the back of the boiler in one day . So we teed that one into the other main , hoping the condensate will drain into it . We were able to correct the pitch of the other main so it will drain into its own return pipe .

    As Usual...

nice work Ron! Is that an optical illusion or are there 2 oil filters on that riello? Did you ever get everything set with the downstairs of your house? kpc
  • Yep , there are 2 filters

The customer was adamant about having 2 on there till he changes the oil tank in a few weeks . Im not sure if 2 of the same type filter does any good though .

Thanks for asking - actually I am working on the forever wall today . Finally getting to the insulation . Its hard to believe though that the house right now with no insulation or sheetrock on the front wall is holding the heat in better than before . Take care Kevin .
