hydronics book

After 10-15 years away from installing hydronics systems,{been installing "scorched air primarily), I have several customers contacting me for new and replacement boilers and systems. I don't want to pass on these, but I want to do them right. Can anyone recommend a basic library pertaining to the technical aspects? THANKS

John, Look to your left at the links on the pipe. Click on Books & More. That will be a good start for your library.

And you'll enjoy reading them while learning more about your trade.

May I make a recommendation John,

I have read most of Dan's hydronics books, and if I understand right, you want a refresher course. "Primary secondary pumping made easy"; "Pumping away", and "How come?" will cover everything. If you want to get downright EXCITED about selling systems that cost more than scorched air, read "Just add H2Oh!" Of course, "Hydronic Radiant Heating" is good too. Some of the titles sound like they overlap, but each one is definitely worth getting, they all have something unique and valuable to get out of them.
I learned more in one week reading Dan's stuff than I did in 3 years by doing it. Enjoy! Kevin

books which are excellent I have some manuals which cover the control side of hydronics from the very old systems right up to the newest conrols used on Hydronics, they include many wiring diagrams and troubleshooting procedures. I should mention they are typically geared toward gas. I should also mention that my manuals do not include Tekmar Controls or other more complex systems which I feel are best covered by the Tekmar folks.

George Lanthier from Fire Dragon Enterprises has some books on the oil side along with Alan Mercurio. You can contact them on www.oiltechtalk.com

If you are interested send me by e-mail your postal sddress and I will mail you a catalog.
