Could be a hole
inside the boiler. The water will go up the chimney. Check it by flooding the boiler up into the header. If there's a hole, you'll know it within a few minutes.Retired and loving it.0 -
Lost water
Hi! Do you have any main vents or rad vents that hiss all the time? If you do, please replace them. Or you may have a leaking boiler and the steam is leaking on the inside of the flue passages, just above or at the water line. Shut off your boiler and hand fill it until the gage glass is full and a bit beyond. A boiler leak will show up. I hope its just hissing vents.0 -
Could be going up the chimney
Check to see if theres a white plume of smoke coming out the chimney - you might have a leak on the fire side of the boiler . Other than that - any buried return piping , or vents that let out alot of steam ?0
