Had to work a Weil (hr)

To fit this into the 42" mechanical space the architect allowed. The boiler feeds into a 6 gallon buffer, much smaller than I had planed.

The VS injection pump pulls from the buffer for the 108 degree slab zones. A Grundfos Mixi Miser will bolt into the assembly. A RTI setpoint control will run the boiler 135- 175. The boiler and indirect pumps are Grundfos check pumps for prioritized DHW, without running through the buffer.

The indirect will slide out by removing some flange and union connections. Unfortunatly the buffer is imprisoned under the boiler stand. The indirect would have to be removed to replace the buffer.

    Thanks guys

I was thinking about Ron Jr on this job! You really have to plan out every fitting and pipe path to "make it fit" and make it serviceable in these tight installs. Hard to believe in this new construction "age" that adequate room can't be found somehow.

they don't make an indirect with two tanks for these kind of situations. Viessmann makes a "bivalent" indirect that has two separate heat exchangers; the additional HX could be used for a small radiant zone.

Looks as though you didn't have a chance to talk to the AIA in the planning stages; they always imagine our equipment is small and doesn't need any additional space for servicing.

Nice work, hot "squeeze it in" rod.
