Most anode rods are aluminum or magnisum. Hydronic system antifreezes don't get along well with these metals. With a sealed system and a good inhibitor package in the antifreeze, really there is no need for the anode.
Also 25% is the very minimun you should blend hydronic antifreezes. Below that your inhibitor package is getting too weak. You may consider boosting the inhibitor package. Boost kits are available fromthe manufacture of the antifreeze.
Remember the inhibitors are in there to "handle" the blend water, not the glycol.

What will happen to the anode in a water heater being used as a boiler with 25% antifreeze? Should it be taken out?It is only 6 gal. Bruce0
