Steam conversion to hot water
The customer is building an addition to the house that doubles the size . With only 4 steam radiators hooked into the old system , it didnt pay to keep the steam . It had 2 zones off the coil - 1 is radiant in a kitchen . The other pics are of the path into the house - mud on the outside , and a pie stair on the inside - we had to carry all the crap out by hand .

We managed
to hook in the existing radiant and an upstairs zone - till we can install the baseboard thats replacing the rads . Dont mind the funky fluepipe on the gas heater - its only temporary till tomorrow . We chopped the chimney higher to get the proper pitch for the heater . Funny how we were the first ones to notice it .0 -
The juction box
Except for a newer Romex wire , all of these were the crusty , crubly wires . Oh , and I found a live wire in there , direct from the breakers . I hate touching a live wire when my feet are wet .0 -
