    We Use

Brasso. When we polish our mechanical rooms, after the heat has run through them a while, they turn a deep bronze. I must for a trophy mechanical room.

    copper polish

I've always used a product called "Twinkle" that is readily available in your local supermarket in the cleaning products aisle. The same company makes a similar product for cleaning silver.

    polish copper.

If not under pressure, and there is not an awful amount, you can cover the copper with 95-5 solder. Requires cleaning, fluxing, heating, etc. gives it a chrome look.
Red Bear is a good copper polish, can find it at most places that sell kitchen items.

    Specialty kitchen stores

Have products to clean copper tea kettles and the copper clad bottoms of Revere Ware brand pots and pans. I've never used it, but anywhere that sells Revere Ware would have it. After you get it polised, how about a coat of car wax to keep it from oxidizing? Kevin

    Toilet Bowl Cleaner

Tidy Bowl, toilet bowl cleaner will take the oxidation off. Wipe on, Wipe off, works great. I have used it to clean pipe and fittings when I didn't want to sand it.

    You're a Champ, Bob

You just showed a group of impressionable minds how the results of a job well done, can make one feel.

It definitely made ME feel good.

    Well done, beautiful character-building work.

Did the young'ns help with the project.

    i'm no champ brian

i'm just trying to help out a little. i mostly wanted to show my nephew the positive things about being a plumber. some lawyers kid told him a few years ago that no one wanted to be a plumber. you are right about kids beng impressionable, one kid told his mother he wants to be a plumber because the first words i said , is that i loved my job. the kids did all the work including threading pipe. bob
