Oil burner hook-up to toilet

My father is an oil burner repairman in Northern New Jersey. We have a bathroom in our basement which is right next to the oil burner. We had a problem with the toilet one day and while he was drunk had hooked up a pipe from the oil burner to the toilet. Well, one day after eating a bunch of beef and bean burritos, I arrived home and had to use the toilet in a most urgent way. When I flushed the toilet, a bunch of oil came rushing into the toilet. Also, I noticed that there was a stench of crap throughout the entire house after this episode.
Are there any suggestions out there as how I could fix this problem and is this good for the sewer system??
