Has there been any recent developments with the Keyspan organization? Any negotiations with any boiler manufacturers that we should be aware of? Timetables? I just want to keep tabs on what is happening.

  • They just bought

an LNG facilitiy here in Providence RI. Just another venture for them into a new area. They have typically been a distribution company. LNG takes them over into the gas transmission business. This is also their first venture into RI, they are in Mass already.

I have not heard anymore on negotions with boiler manufacturers, maybe someone else has.
  • KEYSPAN BOILER AFFILIATION

Just opened some mail from keyspan today announcing that the will only use Burnham boilers and American Standard furnaces in thier boiler replacement program. This is in their northeastern Mass. area,,,,,mmmmm someone scored a nice deal!! wonder if it is company wide??

Sorry for the caps,,,,,,,,,did anyone hear of any future purchases by Keyspan, of any independant gas companies in the northeast area??? Perhaps,,Baystate Gas Co??? hearing lots of rumors,,,they seem to hold all the missing links in Keyspan territory. Just curious, it would make sense though,,,Happy and healthy New Year to all!!!

  • Anything is possible

here in New England. The Bay State purchase has been rumored for several years, my contacts at Bay State have not offered any information as to it being done. There are also some other companys in the area that block them from controlling all of eastern new england.

    Timmie, I was told that

Bay state wants BIG money due to thier system is one of the best in state. Many new updates, this came from one of thier biggest line installers who are now downsizing due to "lack of work" mostly only new service lines, not major lines anymore. So I guess they already spent $ on upgrade of system and now can sit back for the rewards. John@Reliable
