No I'm not the guy on ESPN, but I sure would like some feedback on the HPS Controls. Whomever gives me the goods, would be "cooler than the other side of the pillow" in my book.
Come on y'all, ante up.

Danfoss ZCPs
are worth a look. I may be out of the panel building business after using these beauties.
This 5 zone 4 way reset mix just arrived today. I added the RPA sticker
They have made some nice changes from the ones I installed a year ago, thanks Bean Team!
Incredible packaging. They could drag this behind a horse from Canada, without damaging the panel, although I wouldn't recommend it!

Thanks Hot Rod
And thanks to all the folks at ESPN, including Stuart Scott(?), for the Intel.
If you can, take a look at these HPS things(very clean).
I know Robert Bean has got the goods--but these boxes are worth taking a look at.

By the way, I haven't any vested interest in this.
Thanks, Steve

HPS Panels
We have purchased some of the HPS panels for radiant systems from the previous rep in our area, and thought they were of good quality and value.
I have not had contact with them since they made a rep change in our area, but understand that they have added injection systems to their offering as well. I can tell you from our past experiences that they are good people to work with.0 -
HPS Panels
Thanks Hot Rod...we're fortunate to have you and the ZCP ProPartners out there using the ZCP's and giving us feed back. Readers should know improvements come from guys like Hot Rod and many others who have helped over the past two years evolve the ZCP into a true "Made for The Trade" product.
As far as the folks up at HPS (evolved from Energy Savings Products (ESP) and later spun off) they are good people.
I've known since the early 80's, Leon Prevost, who started Energy Savings Products, ...and can't say enough about his family and the entire crew...if I had to sum up Leon and his wife Elaine in three words - "survivors", "determined", "fortitude" come to mind...they're made of good stuff! In my post trade career(from 1983 to 1999) owning distribution, wholesaling and agency business we used Leon's fan/coils and were always very happy with the product.
In regards to panels...creating the ZCP line was an ambition for our crew and Danfoss was the best choice for us to partner with in the early days. Subsequent to our humble beginnings and after a year of soul searching and negotiating we sold our company to the Danes for one main reason...to scale up the operation using their gobal expertise in manufacturing and business systems...and I can state as a fact - the numero uno differentiation between Danfoss and our panel competitors is Danfoss is and always will be a HVAC/R control manufacturer. They don't make pipes, they don't make expansion tanks, circulators or fan/coils, and they are not in the boiler or water heater business. What they do is - live and breath HVAC/R controls...and since 1933...that's all they have done. (Hint for business owners...what you don't do can sometimes be more important than what you do)
Partnering with Danfoss provided us with one of the best control engineering and application teams in the business. These guys know air and water systems inside and out...and like Hot Rod said...these guys are top notch...no academics...just hands on in the trench type guys with engineering and trade back grounds...plus they have some awesome client service folks all over North America to help out at any time...and the bonus...having a global network of researchers, engineers and tradesman from the entire spectrum of HVAC/R manufacturing gives them bench strength.
As part of the global Danfoss team, I can't think of a better place we'd rather occupy than in-between you guys in the field leading the way and our guys in engineering providing product and application support...talk about being part of the DNA loop!
...and if you want a sneak preview of ZCP "DNA"...here's some pics of some of the new stuff which includes our made in the motherland (Danfoss Denmark) produced weather compensators and our North American produced power pack and zoning relays. We're opening up the Toy Box and soon you be seeing some very cool stuff showing up in some awesome applications. (If you're going to ISH we'd love to show you a few of the new building blocks being incorporated into the ZCP...come on in!)
2003...is going to be the best year ever...Happy New Year to all!

Hey Monsiour Yates
Best of the New Year Year to ya!
That panel set you installed does look a lot like the second pic...as you can see we've started incorporating the Danfoss ECL reset control and zoning relay /power pack. The suggestion you, Dan Foley and Jeff Riley provided on these items was much appreciated!
The pics you posted of your retro installation are great...Bill Burton said they may be yours or the guys from Fine Home Building?
If they're yours can we please use them and any others you may have?
Looking forward to your RPA discussion...a little bug told me it has been in incubation for awhile and will be coming out in a feverishly presentation.

low rez / hi rez
Dear RxB,
I have a set of hi-rez 5 megapixel (per pic) & these low rez ones too. If I'd put up one of the hi-rez shots, it would take a week to download! They're mine, all mine - but I'll gladly share them with you. You wants a CD??? Now or at the RPA convention??? I never got to see the ones FHB shot, so I shot my own(G). Now that John & I have the high-end video gear + lighting, I went up on a Saturday & lit up the scene for the hi-rez photos. We could do a Contractors' Corner style video for Danfoss (hint, hint).
Dem bugs is inkubatin!
Thanks,
Dave
PS - I love my ZCP Pro hat!
