you mentioned that exercising pumps during the summer could have saved some snowmelt systems who'se glycol seperated from the water....yikes....does this happen? does it happen often...wouldn't it remix once the system energized again?assuming its not yet frozen...this is something i never contemplated...

I have never witnessed this. I have had contractors tell me it happens. I suspect it has more to do with them hooking fresh water fill systems to their snowmelt installations, however!!
Possibly the less expensive brands seperate?? I'll check with my chemist dudes, to get a better answer!
