Christmas anticipation

As I have gotten older, I have found that the anticipation of Christmas is often more enjoyable than the event itself. Don't get me wrong, I love the celebration of the birth of Jesus and the arrival of Santa at our home. But there are some times that the hustle and bustle leading up to the event are more entertaining and memorable. This is the first time in my 49 years that I won't be celebrating with my Mom and Dad, who are visiting with my sister in Arizona. It is strange but I still have the good fortune of having living parents. I am thankful for that.

For all of my friends here and their families -- and the many other families across the U.S. and the world: Have the joyous of all holidays and pray that we can all, someday, find peace and harmony in our lives.

    My kids have a book

    about Kipper the dog.

    It starts off " Whats better Christmas eve or Christmas day. Getting presents or expecting presents".

    I am not sure I know.

    In the age of technology , you and your family can still spend a "Teckie Christmas" together . Be thankful you can do it ! Don't forget to phone or email .

    I know it's not the same, but unlike years ago, it IS possible . Like you said earlier , Hug your children, and if I may add just a bit to that , don't forget to tell everyone how much they mean to you . Merry Christmas to one and all . Peace and goodwill . Chris
