the pig tail??? The cutout doesn't see the press. in the boiler and it runs up way too high...
Or.. maybe a bad vent on the rad. in the room with the t-stat???

Overheating ??
We replaced a stem boiler last year with a Burnham.
No problems last year, but now the HO says that everyone in awhile the boiler overshoots the thermostat ???
I am going over today to go thru the system but any insight as to what to look for would be appreciated.
I guess I'll check with the thermostate, maybe loose on the wall, or out of level. I know she needs some insulation in the basement, but that was gone last year also.
Any ideas ???

the anticipator.0 -
I agree with TSP
I would start with the anticipator in the thermostat.
In mild weather, it could just be the mass of the entire system heating the space after it shuts down and the load is small. Not much can cure that.
