Testing boilers before installation (hr)

I filled and tested this arrangement before taking it to the jobsite. Turns out three 3/4" plugs were left out of the castings! I wouldn't had enough plugs on my truck to fix this at the jobsite, which is 95 miles from my shop.

This is the third heating devise in 8 yeard that leaked out of the box! Kind of embarassing to fill a leaker in front of a homeowner, much less going back for another replacement.

I fired the boiler and indirect tank and measured performance and monitored combustion with my Fireite, in the shop today. Fun to watch it work. It also allows me to run the hydronic system cleaner through the boiler and see what comes out.
