DO YOU HAVE ANY UDERGROUND LINES?IS YOUR HOUSE ON A SLAB OR DO YOU HAVE A BASEMENT? IF YOU HAVE A PRV IT COULD CAUSE MORE PROBLEMS.YOU SHOULD HAVE A LOW WATER CUT OFF ON THE BOILER AND KEEP THE PRV CLOSED...
HOW OLD IS THE BOILER?
DO YOU HAVE STEEL PIPES OR COPPER?

I have a hot water system. Why do I have to add water ?. I can't find any leaks. I have lived in this old house for 6 years, if there was a leak in a wall or floor wouldn't it have showed up?. Thanks

how often due you have to add water to the system you should have an automatic water feed on system if its hot water the pressure should be a minimum of 12 lbs when boiler is cold

What type of system and
how much water do you add, and how often. To troubleshoot these I install a small water meter on a fill system and monitor it over a few days, or weeks.
It has to be going somewhere.
I must say, however, I maintain a few rubber tube staple up systems that seem to take a quart or two of fluid at the start of every heating season (non auto fill systems). They trip out on the LWC switches. I can see all the manifolds and piping. I placed a container under the relief, etc, I have no idea where the small amount goes every year!!
