I'm with Mark on the tub thing. Need a TV and a wet bar within reach of the tub though. I wouldn't want to get out. Beautiful work. The photo of the boiler is a hard angle for foloowing the piping. How long did the piping take. Is that a new boiler? It looks like a new house. Why isn't there an MZ in the basement?

    Current Project

This is a new house we are wrapping up in Northwest D.C. Believe it or not, this house is heated by forced air (not by us). I have never met the homeowner. The architect specified radiant heat in the kitchen and master bath and I was unable to persuade him that radiant would actually work under carpet and hardwood. I did add an indirect water heater which is necessary to fill the giant master bath tub. We are also installing snowmelt in the front steps and short driveway. -DF

  • kinda warms the heart.....

TO see the kind of quality this home is screaming. Seema this place was built in an older section of town (notice overhead wires) and limits sprawl, and with the architech to spec the quality of materials used, should make for a happy customer !! all we tend to see around these parts are the McMansions with thirty outside corners and many problems waiting to surface, seems that consumers are more concerned with overall apperance and size verses quality!!

    nice job !!

    Wayne...

    Hi Wayne,

It took almost four days to pipe the boiler room. That is a new Burnham Series 2 cast iron boiler. It has a little more capacity than the MZ in order to handle the snowmelt and DHW loads. -DF
