One pipe steam system changes.
I'm contemplating making some changes to a one pipe steam system that I recently made near boiler piping repairs on. I plan on replacing all of the radiator vents with new Hoffman #40's. I was also going to replace the main line vents with Hoffman #4A (Selected because of limitations between the floor and the nipple on the dry return). The current system is outfitted with a mix - match of vents.
Am I headed in the right direction????
Also, I wanted to set the system pressure to 1/2 psi cut - in and 1 1/2 to 2 psi cut - out. Any recommendations as to what kind of gage I could use to set the pressuretrol? The current boiler gage is stuck at 5 psi. I purchased a new
0 to 30 psi gage to install later this week, but it doesn't look like it's going to be suitable for an accurate setting.
Thanks,
