Moline steam traps

I recently looked at a job that has about twenty Moline steam traps and I have not been able to get any info on them. They are oval about eight inches long with two 3/4 tappings 180° apart about 2 inches from the top and have a small tapping near the bottom. They are bright blue and have a joining flange about 3 inches from the top. They look a little like a large(ostrich) egg standing on its end. They are labeled as Moline #9. and are on unit heaters rated for 230,000BTUH.As they are hooked up to a boiler running at 10psig and the return has a Skidmore vacuum pump on it,I want to make sure that I understand their use before I modify the system.

A steam trap is a steam trap.

If the unit heaters donot have air release vents you need to replace the traps with a good float and thermostatic steam trap.

If the unit heaters have vent valves a Hoffman # 8 or 9 thermostaic trap is O.K. to install.

The vacuum pump is a critical piece of information.

If the return piping from the unit heaters go to the vacuum pumps you should not have vent valves on the unit heaters.

The condensate flow rate from the unit heaters is 250 lbs per hour a 3/4" steam trap will do.

    Error in identification

The traps in question were made in Moline, but they are Illinois #7 G. Which I've been told are a simple F&T trap.
