System short cycles until system is hot

OK, sorry for my ignorance. My steam boiler turns on and off until the system is hot, and then it runs continuously and normally. Any solutions? Thanks, Dan

    check pressure control

    The pressure control is not adjusted properly. You may want a service man to do it if you are not familiar with it. What is it set at now. Read carefully in lb / sq Inch to tenth decimal point. Get back with info www.exqheat.com

    pressure setting

    John, Thanks for the reply! The "cut in" setting is 1.75 lbs/in, and the "cut out" is set at 2. What do you think? I wondered if part of the problem wasn't also that I need more air vents, since the ones that I have hiss pretty loud and I read that hissing is a good sign you need more of them. Thanks, Dan
