Where can I sell steam radiators in Chicago area?

in THE MAIN WALL
We installed central heat/air in our Chicago two-flat, and now there are six perfectly good radiators (five with metal covers) sitting in the basement.

Can anyone recommend a place in the Chicago area that would buy these?

    Limited market

    Unless your old radiators are the type with the nice cast designs on them, I can't imagine that there is much of a market for them. If I ever had to replace steam rads in my house, I would be inclined to buy new models with known heat ratings.

    Actually there is a very good market for them

    Check under arcchitectural salvage in the Yellow pages or contact some steam or hot water contractors. BTW nearly all the heat output ratings for radiators are available in a book for sale on this website. I'm a couple hours west of Chicago and keep quite a few rads in stock. Many old homeowners are either replacing thier old rads or installing whole new systems using period radiators. I beleive there is a place on the east coastthat sells and ships used radiators all over the country.
