this one's different. I know this is off track, but we often speak about our children here & this must be a living nightmare for her family. Her e-mail follows:

Maybe if every one passes this on someone will see this child, that is how the girl from Stevens Point was found by circulation of her pictrue on tv.

The internet circulates even overseas South America, and Canada etc. We have a store manager (Wal-Mart) from Longs, SC who has a 9 year old daughter who has been missing for 2 weeks. Keep the picture moving on With luck on her side she will be found.

I am asking you all, begging you to please forward this email on to anyone and everyone you know, PLEASE.

My 9 year old girl, Penny Brown, is missing. She has been missing for two weeks.. It is still not too late. Please help us. If anyone anywhere knows anything, please contact me at: zicozicozico@hotmail.com

I am including a picture of her. All prayers are appreciated!! It only takes 2 seconds to forward this on. If it was your child, you would want all the help you could get.

I may be wrong, but I could have sworn I saw that same picture about a year ago. I hope I am wrong and your heart is in the right place, but I am pretty sure I have seen that before, maybe someone else has.

Hoax

Variants of this hoax (usually various locations of residence but with the same child's name and photo and message text) have been floating around since late 2001 at least.

The Penny Brown hoax claims to have come from a Monzine Jang in Calgary but if you call the phone number, you get a recording that says:

If you are calling about an e-mail about a missing girl, please do not forward it. She is not the daughter of Monzine Jang. Monzine has contacted the Calgary police and missing children organizations and she believes this is a hoax.
So if you get this message or any of the dozen variants of it, please don't pass it on. Also, lay off Ms. Jang as she does not need everyone calling her.

PLEASE LOOK AT PICTURE THEN FORWARD
