New Munchkin install

I had to laugh, at myself for getting so frustrated at how long this job took when I was working left handed for the whole job. The sight of me taking a 3 foot pipe wrench and adding a 3 foot cheater bar to dismantle the 2 inch pipe left handed should have been videoed. Are you going to wetsockII. I owe you a beer. WW

Just finished first Munchkin
installation, Took much longer than I allowed for. I should call it my first Munchkin Bath. However it works great so far, and sometimes you pay for education. Took out an old Bryant gravity boiler and a water heater and used the Buderus Horizontal tank with the doughnut on top to make for a single footprint. Used primary secondary piping for 2 zones and teed in for a future 3rd. Ran up the Chimney with vent piping. Had to increase to 4 in PVC because of the length. How do youse guys figure for time on these installs.

hey Wayne...
wow looks complex... I noticed the Y strainer on the return. Do they require that? What is the brand and model # please?kpc0 -
Gee I wonder
where I got it. When I se a good idea, I steal it. I wish I could have made mine as neat as yours but the pre-existing piping was all over the place. Lots for an old tin knocker to learn on this job. I must admit, I changed out a Heat Pump system the other day with a new Puron hi eff. heat pump with Smart heat and felt much more at home. Is this Blasphemy to say on the Wall?

Hey Kevin
It was not required but after a half hour of running I took it out and checked it and there was already some sludge from the old radiators on the heating loop caught in the basket. I think it's a good idea for an extra 20 bucks
