My birthday present

My birthday gift this year -- 1957 Ford Ranchero. Ornament giving is always a tradition in the Hall family. Daddy gets to pick his favotite and the rest of the family picks one for themselves, too. This one reminds me of the one my Dad drove us around in back in 1957, except our's was a four-door. Traditions are great -- families are greater.

    Speaking of fathers car, do they have a Ford Fairlane station wagon in black with a red interior. Eight hour drive to Michigan with Three boys. How did my parents ever do it.

    The 50s and early 60s were great times to be a kid around my neighborhood in Detroit. I'll always have those fond memories and luckily, can pass them on to my kids, who have no conception of how life was back then. They may have tons of photos, books, TV shows and movies -- but nothing beats the actual experience.
