Hope you have full recovery. Chiropractor told me to only wear belt when lifting- wearing it all day can cause muscles to weaken. Took 30 visits last time mine acted up, but always someone worse off, now I take air handlers apart to lift into attics, etc.

Kinda looks like a wall anchor !
Speaking from experience ...I feel your pain . Although I dont have the metal, I'm still a couple weeks from working .
If nothing else , those belts WILL remind you to be aware of how your lifting . In the big picture , they really don't do much else .Most of your health insurers will offer some type of "body mechanics training" if approached by enough people . Give it a try . Unfortunately in the trade we've chosen it isn't always as practical as it is in a regular environment .
Hope all goes well . Heal fast . Chris0 -
M.D.'s wanted to do a 7 bone fusion on me due to herniated disks and artheritis. But I fooled 'em & went elsewhere, got some cortizone then went for some foot reflexology, and now I'm loading, delivering, dragging, lifting, etc. that damn cast iron w/o problems. At 56, I've never felt better.0 -
had...
this done a year and a half ago, feeling great back to work 5 months after it was done. Doing everything again, best part was seeing the look on my 4 year olds face as I could toss him in the air.I did all the treatments, shots,TENS,yoga, meds. You name it I did it,finally after LOTS of soul searching and not being able to walk I went for it and thank God it worked.Bone on bone did not feel good.Dave0
