Clarification of previous question. Twas wondering if the casting was changed or is Burnham just no longer promoting this feature? Looking at using 3 807B's on a big job and it would really clean up and simplify the piping if the boilers could act as air separators. Flow rates should never be over 40 gpm in each boiler, so we shouldn't have to worry about the air zipping past the baffles.

Air elimination at boiler
Dave,
As I have stated in the past, we no longer incorporate a scoop in the internal casting of any of our boilers. The nipple used for the relief valve should only be for the relief valve and nothing else. Use system air removal instead. Hope this helps.
