One of my favorites -- it goes to show the goodness of people and the comradery spirit of team sports.

Touchdown!!
John, I read your post and related link months ago and was immediately moved. God bless small school athletics. Shortly thereafter I was flipping TV and came across one of those sports talk shows. Upcoming subject.......your play. I listened to an "expert" in handicapped children and he was of the opinion that this was not necessarily right and blah blah blah. I still think it's a great story and a great indication of the human spirit. I don't know if you were personally involved in this story but regardless, thanks for reminding me of it. In my opinion it IS one of the great stories of 2002!

After reading
Tombig's (I wonder if his son will be Tombigger?) I went and read the story.
Very moving. Thanks for the post.0 -

Hey Jack
Maybe your son will be Jackchip*off*the*old*block. Mine has been referred to as Tombigger since, at 19yrs, he's taller than me. I've got him smoked in the diameter department though.0
