Moisture in Gauge Glass...

Hi,
You guys have been a big help thus far...Thank You!
I seemed to have solved my "losing water" problem, by installing new air vents on the mains (the others weren't shutting, so were blowing steam, etc. out long after they should have shut).
Now, though, I noticed today, when checking the water line in the gauge glass on my oil-fired boiler, that there is moisture (droplets on the inside of the glass) above the water line. Before, the area above the water line had always been bone dry. Is this the sign of something wrong/right? Is it a problem, and if so, how serious?
Thanks,
Dan

That's just
condensation. I see it on most gauge glasses.
Glad to hear that you are paying such close attention to your system!!
Best wishes!

oil
A little bit of oil on the water surface can cause that. If your water line bounces more now, there may be some pipe dope in your system, or something along those lines.
If it becomes a problem, skimming would cure it.
