Smoke and the smell of Diesel Fuel

Anyone have any advice? I just had a tech out to replace the filter just off the tank(well he couldn't replace what I didn't have), and the screen on the burner. The reset switch had been popping and I brought my Oil companies guy in to check it out. He replace my nossle and the above. Now when I walk outside into my yard when the boiler is working I can smell, slightly, the distinct odor of fuel oil. Also a constant waft of smoke that was not existing before is comeing from my chimney.
Any adivce?
Thanks
Ben

Call them back
obviously there's still a problem with the burner. A well-adjusted oil burner made in the last 20 years or so should burn efficiently without visible smoke.

Couldit be the wrong nozzle?
When the guy replaced the nossle he asked me what the number read on it. (it read 60 degrees) He thought it read 80.
Would the wrong size or type of nozzle cause a bad burn like this?

Yes
What is the model number of the boiler? What model burner is mounted on it?

Nozzle
Did he take the nozzle from his pants pocket?0
