Floor color for radiant ceiling?
Biro

As with the sun warming dark colored objects more than light colored objects, will a dark colored floor attract more heat than a light colored floor in a radiant ceiling application? Anyone know of any scientific data, or real world experiences?

Good Question
Why don't you set up a experiment of that idea. A heat lamp at the cieling, a painted panel of various colors and a thermometer (thermister) under each different color. Document the results and place them here. I'd like to know

dark floors make better solar collectors than lihjt floors. dark colors if I recall, both absorb and emit heat energy better than light colors. Manual J has higher heat gain for dark roofs than light roofd, for example. I assume yoy were referring to the color as far as giving off heat?. Saw an article on this site about the color of radiators affecting heat output and floors or ceiligs probably act the same.0
