burner cycle timing on a vapor system

Thanks to "Steamhead" and Dan's forum here our system is running quiet and warm. Now to fine tune!
Presently our burner is running on average for a 5 minute 45 second cycle every 16 minutes. The pressutrol is set to cut in at 1/2 psi and the differential is set to 1 pound. The anticipator on the thermostat is set to .2 ( Honeywell ). I also have some bad radiator traps. Will the bad traps if failed in an open position allow the boiler steam pressure to bleed off through the dry returns and cause the pressurtrol to kick in and make more steam pressure?? Or is our problem more in the present control settings?? Should we leave the settings alone and change all the traps then note the difference?
