in my area the average is about once a week. you probably have a packing leak or a leak on a steam vent. look around and fix it. you don't want to add more water than you need to. bob

water loss in boiler
I was just reading about someone that has a simular to mine. I have a 2 pipe system dry return but seem to be low on water probably twice a week is that the norm. I read what you told the one person about leak in the firing chamber or packing on valves. Should my or any system be sealed except for main air vents? Also should I insulate return lines? Main lines are as much as can be. Thank you, love this site very helpful.0
