I have a one pipe steam radiator setup in my house, the house heats uneven. It seems the 1st step in fixing this would be to insulate the pipes. What to you use? Armor flex (black foam tubes) looks like it would melt. Fiberblass pipe wrap, preformed fiberglass tubes? What is the right stuff.
Thanks

fiberglass
One inch wall, and make sure the glue on it can take the heat. Look for a steam rating on it.
Zeston and Proto both make fitting covers to go with it.
