Semi Instantaneous Compact water heater

Looking for Feed back on the Semi Instantaneous Hot water heaters. The one I am looking into is a Patterson- Kelley steam driven unit. Seems to be a no brainer. In my case I would get rid of 2500 gallon storage tank, with 1 steam coil and 1 condensate pre heat coil, the system is showing signs of fatigue. Any maintenance issues that I should be aware of with this different equipment? The system that is in the building now is nearly 40 years old and untill recently was worry free. Am I installing a service problem child? Any practicle experience or thoughts are welcome. Keith
