Defective towel bar

The suppier is Northern radiant out of Minn. I don't know the manufacturers name. I will get it. Hopefully telling the truth is still legal. It seems to be legal to lie on the internet to sell radiant products. I hope warning friends of manufacturer problems is OK?

defective towel bar
Advise please---- I bought a towel bar from a radiant (wholesaler) importer from Minn. Towel bar develops a leak after 2 weeks and stains tile and grout with rust. He sends me 2 more. 3rd one is supposed to make up for labor- I guess. After a month 2nd towel bar leaks. I send out tech to install 3rd towel bar. after 3 weeks 3rd towel bar leaks. All leaks are coming from weld between vertical and horizontal bars. Now for the punchline-- He placed me for collection because I refuse to pay for his junk. He says I should take up defects with the Italian company. Whom I still have no idea who they are. He says his job is to sell the bar not stand behind it. I'm just curious what my fellow wallies think? Should I also tell my customer "sorry you should never have purchased that piece of junk from me." and then bill him for all the labor? I bet that would get a referral--NOT!0 -
I think...
your wholesaler is not doing the right thing.
You (WE) have to stand behind our products, all the way back to the factory.
Must say though, seems strange for something like that to spring leaks 3 times in a row. Were the leaks emminating from the same place on all three?
Still doesn't warrant wholesalers inaction.

Leaking towel bar
Actually the first two leakers are on the same spot of the same tube. The third is on the other end of the same tube. David admitted to a problem with the first leaker. Now he has amnesia and says unless I pay him he will do nothing. The homeowner won't let me install another bar from this manufacturer. I have now ordered a similar size from another manufacturer. What gets me is the defective wholesaler doesn't even want the junk back. I think I will hold on for the court battle. The damage to my customers house and labor to install all this junk will out weigh the cost of his junk. Be very careful-Know your supplier.0 -

Did you see
A copy of the mfrs. warranty. If so, what did it say. Just out of curiosity what did the towel bar cost you to buy and what's the brand name. You can e-mail me if you want. I'd really like to know so I can steer clear of both the wholesaler and the mfgr.0 -
Please email me too.0 -
