I recived a cold call for replacement w/h @ 1230 pm ,not having one @ shop I reluctantly called HD for cost 35min later I got more info than I "bargained" for . Installation was $219! wow I just got a great idea I'll get this licenced + insured plumber to come to my shop ,he can install every water job i get i'll even pay him 3x what his current profit is now and i'll still make a couple hundred bucks. or the other thing i could do is call homeowner back and suggest home depot plumbing'you know'keep this guy away from the "good customers''

I've been in that situation, Paul
and am reluctant to buy from HD or Lowes... but when a customer calls and says "HELLLP!" I won't tell them they have to wait till the supply houses open. Gotta do what's needed to get them up and running.
As for those HD telemarketers- tell them to put your number on their "Do Not Call" list. Legally, if you tell them that, they have to.
