My thoughts on Wet Stock #1

It was fantastic. Only a few problems.
Before I begin with the recommendations, I want to thank Dan and the Lovely Marianne (and all the other Holohan women and friend) for putting on special show. It meant a lot to me to be a part of it. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart. That said, here come the suggestions.
1. Not eough time. I only met half the people I wanted to meet, and I made EVERY event. (I know, talk less and move more,,,,)
2. A Lack of scribes. At every table I went to, there weren't any "dedicated scribes". I'm sure people volunteered, but under the cirumsstances, there should have been either a tape recorder (recommended) or a pre law court recorder at every table. There was an unbelieveable amount of eneregy and information that got transfered that didn't get recorded
3. Format: This, was without a doubt, one of the greatest social scientific events of this millenium. It is virtualy impossible to predict the outcome, or the occurences. It was my personal experience that the background roar (Hydronic contractors are NOT quiet talkers)was wayy too loud and normal conversation was quite unintelligable (SP).
Maybe in the future, it would be better to have a more organized format whereby you have a central speaker table, or a group of recognized speakers, with podiums on both sides of the room where people can interject their opinions and ideas. Limit each topic to a certain amount of time, and poll the participants prior to the event to make sure that the "hot topics" are covered.
In general, as I have stated, it was a wonderful experience. I just feel like I missed out on a lot of great discussions due to being tied up at a certain table. Seems like more information could heve been transferred.
In general, it was an EXCELLENT experience meetng all (most) of those people with whom I've had conversations over the last numerous years, but never had the chance to meet eye to eye. You know who you are, and all I can say is "It was great to meet you, and I look forward to meeting you again.'
Again, thanks Dan and TLM.
And thanks to all those who made it possible. You know who you are.
