news today, that some scientists, (never did mention where they were from) are saying that without a doubt, there will be a MAJOR collision with the earth of some celestial body within this century!

as big or even bigger then the one that wiped out the dinosaurs!

if true, we will now see the true spirit of mankind.

I feel fortunate to be just a dog

Being a dog, I don't spend my time worrying about things that might happen in the future. I feel really secure with guys like G.W. and **** Cheney leading the pack. They'll just knock any stinkin' celestial body out of the sky with some Star Wars technology.

On the other hand, if it does happen, not only will we see the true spirit of mankind, but also the true spirit of dogkind.

    And Remember..

...what your mother always told you - "Make sure you're wearing clean underwear, with no holes, in case you have to go to the hospital." :)

    The end is near?

Hopefully this major collision will not occur until some time after November of next year.

I would like to attend the next Wetstock in Chicago, on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan. Thanks, Dan, for choosing such a great place for the next gathering.

Impacts, caldera-type volcanoes, unbelievably large fires, earthquakes, landslides (the list goes on) all have and will affect continents and the globe as a whole.

I've long though that "catastrophe" is a huge part of evolution that Darwin didn't mention too well...

Maybe whatever survives us will fail to re-learn some of our mistakes.

    Be Very Afraid!

I heard a guy on late night radio claiming that the nuclear particle accelerator at the Fermi lab in Chicago was going to cause an accident that would, "supernova not only the entire earth, but also everything within a 3 LIGHTYEAR radius of us." I Thought, "Oooh, that could be serious." :) That guy's more fun than War Of the Worlds. The upside, as I see it; is of course that all hunting and fishing restrictions would be voided. Kevin

    Warm Feet

I suspect that radiant floor tubing under those streets of gold will be like no other. Plan on seeing you there.
