Single loop expansion noise?

I have a Weil McLain WGO-3 (no domestic coil and no low limit) boiler on a single loop system. When the circulator starts and the loop is cool the baseboard makes a good bit of expansion noise. It seems like it is more noise in one room than others (third room in the loop). Am I correct in assuming that this is linear expansion of the piping in the supports? I am not a contractor, but would appreciate any suggestions to minimize the noise. Thanks, Mark R.

you could try insulating the pipes and checking all the areas where the pipe hits any part of the wooded stucture. try to isolate anywhere the pipe is touching. radiators do creak and crack on the elements do to temp change. (expansion-contaction)

Ahh , the dreaded wood popping noise
I have the same problem . You kinda get used to those noises after a while . It reassures me that we had enough oil for the heat to come on one more time . Yep youre right , it is the expansion of the pipe when it heats up . You can install expansion fittings on the pipe where the noise is loud - they sorta look like copper accordians and you solder them in like a coupling , or even try squirting some oil where you hear the rubbing - usually against wood . Or do like I do when I hear a knocking sound in my car engine - make the music louder .0 -
I neglected to say that all piping in the loop is copper. Thanks, Mark R.0 -
Assumption is
CORRECT ! If you can get to the piping between the BB's, you may loosen the hanging system a bit. Many times the hanging is to tight against the wood construction. Bar soap may be rubbed on the space to lubrcate the system. Or perhaps some squirt hand soap. Sometimes the BB its self can make noise, usually not the clicking but a metalic noise. find the rub and clear it. a stethoscope may pin point it quickly. biguigh0
