Design aids for propane systems
I am designing a propane fuel system for a 3,000 sqft building. Propane will fire the domestic water heater and the furnace.
Any good sources out there for propane design - piping, piping practices, tank installation, regulation, etc.?
It has been QUITE a while since I did my last propane job, and my "stuff" is in a file cabinet in an office from two jobs ago!
Tanks - I mean, "thanks."0 -

National Fuel Gas code would most likely cover the job like a roofer would do bigugh0 -
Or your propane supplier.
Or your piping and propane equipment supplier. They typically have pipe sizing charts.
If you're in an area that will eventually get natural gas, you may want to look ahead and size the piping for natural gas anyway.0 -
That's excellent
advice Duncan. We always check with the local gas company to see if new service lines are in the near future and then suggest the owner size for natural if they are.0
