Questions about Grundfos Brute II for Grundfos reps on the wall

As far as I know they will both be available for the time being, my Grundfos rep says they are being tight lip for now. The curve is lower because of the internal check valve.
The cross references are misleading, I think it is a bit of a marketing tool. I have to make my own to make sure I don't get into trouble.

I was looking at the literatur for the new Brute II (UP15-58) pump and came up with some questions.
1. Is this pump going to replace the UP/UPS15/42 pumps or be will both be available?
2. Is this pump going to be considered an adequate substitute for a B&G Series 100 pump? the literature for a UP15-42 says will replace a Series 100 but the UP15-58 does not. And why would either one be considered a replacement for the Series 100 when both show a lower GPM on the pump curve.
3.Why is the UP15-58 running a slightly lower GPM then the UP15-42? I would think that It would do the same as or slightly better than the UP15-42 since its the "Super Brute".0 -

The UPS 15-58 FC (Super Brute)
outperforms the UPS 15-42. Shut off head is approx. 19' and runout is 18 gpm. Our new design virtually eliminates performance loss due to the check valve. The UPS 15-58 outperforms its direct competitors, especially when the check valve is taken into account.I have attatched a copy of the literature for you to look at.
The only products we are discontinuing are the UPS 15-42 FC pumps, all single speed 15-42's will remain in the product line.
As for the prior cross reference, a Brute can replace many B&G 100's. The runout is not as great, but the flow at typical system pressure drops will provide satidfactory performance. We did not include the B&G 100 in the new cross reference because of the fact you pointed out - in high flow, very low head applications the application is not appropriate.
Thanks for your question, email me if you have any further questions.
