Hey guys, Im a 16 year old student at Pathfinder Technical in Palmer Ma. enlisted in the Hvac program, Me and my father (liscensed plumber) are thinking of replacing our Gas furnace this summer, i have heard that there are furnaces made with the burners elevated higher than "standard" furnaces which will help prevent condensate from rotting out your burners, is this true? i just told my pops to get a condensing furnace but he gave me the good old "i know more than you talk" so now im stuck doing homework. Thanks for any help

that's the way to go condensing furnace. And while you at it
convince pops on the two stage, variable speed to go
along with it.Tell him no need to worry about the burner
rusting they're inshot ,that means they are no longer inside the heatexchanger. You are not saying pops is a hard sell are you?
Or that he is set in his way's.He might just be testing you , pops will do that from time to time.Make him proud.0
