What exactly is the purpose of the connection between the feed and return manifold when using separatate circulators for the zones? The heat baseboard fin type. This is opposed to not connecting the feed and return when using zone valves. I have never encounted this before. (Although this is the first Weil McLain High Efficiency I've installed.) Thanks

You can pipe \"in and out\"
of any W/M boiler if you are connecting it to baseboard. On the new GV boiler, your piping design must be such that your temperature rises over a given length of time. If you do not get sufficient temp. rise, as in the case of the boiler being piped "in and out" on a converted gravity system, the boiler will lock-out. The brain boxes' primary objective is to keep the block from operating so cool that you get condensation. C0
