Ellen Rohr PM article

Ellen, your article in PM magazine was fantastic. I loved every word of it. I was actually thinking of installing a bidet for the guys in our shop(I probably owe it to them).

Last year, I gave an installer a complete HVAC sytem for his home as a token of my appreciation for the fine work he'd been doing. Never even said "Thanks, Steve". I guess I owe him more?

Keep up the good work!

The guy sounds like an ingrate to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a great thing you did, Steve. What I have learned in the first few years of my business, is that I treated employees too well.....it is the rare person today that truly appreciates a gift like that. Yes!!! apparentlty he does feel that you owe him more than that.....next time.....buy him a house...mayube he'lll be happy then.....yeah right..... p.s. I came on the wall only last year, and I don't konw you too well, but how are you feeling???? better? God Bless you Mad Dog

    This thread reminded

me of a story my late Father-in-law told me. He was doing a lot of work for this very influential guy and wanted the thank him at Christmas. He found out the customer drank scotch so he bought him a case of the best at the time. A day after giving it to him he was fired. He was told that anyone who could afford to give a gift that expensive was overcharging. You never know.
I haven't read Ellen's article yet but they are always well done.
