What would you guys think of a web site that offered specialized tools for the pipefitting and boiler trades featuring product lines like Rems, Knipex, Ridge, Mupro, Testo, etc. Pricing would be as sharp as any and sharper than most. Shipping charges would be minimal if any applied at all. The powers that be up here would like to hear your feedback.

I want a web site or a magazine

that does product testing for the mechanical trade tools, sort of a consumer reports for trade duty equipment. whats good, not so good , how various tools that do the same job stack up. Fine Wood Working reviews tools in every issue and simply compares them to a standard that they come up with, and makes every tool do the same job in the same way. it may not be an exact science but at least I get some info every month on some type of tool I may be interested in purchasing for the home shop. John hall are you listening?

    That

Would be an excellent idea! I'll run the field test bit past a few people and see what comes up. This is in a very nebulous state as yet but I think the possibility of this happening is pretty good.

    I like your idea

I'm not sure how big you market would be for hydronic or trade specfic tools. I wonder what kind of quantities you would have to commit to to get the best pricing.

    Worth a look for sure.
