RPA certification

Just came in from a weekend at the Poconos with my girlfriend, recieved my results from the RPA exam I took at Ish. I passed! I realize this is not going to make or break my business, and is in know way a requirement for me to install jobs here in NY where there is no heating license required(as dicussed here previously), I will still install with the same profesional attitude and manner as I did on the last radiant install, however, it is still a personal accomplishment I'm proud of, (because I cant stand taking tests). So to all the others I took the exam with last Sat., I hope you had the same reults.

Ant, your opinion
on the tests? Did you take both installer and designer? Tough, easy, about right?
Congratulations, some good stuff coming up for RPA certified members.

wasn't a gimme.
hr,
I'm not much of a test taker, so to say it was easy, I didn't think so. there's not much margin of error having to pass with 80%.I read the radiant basic book as well as other publications, so, no question that helped. I had some weak points, which you guys at the RPA provided with me with the SUBJECTS i got wrong,(not questions or answers) which i thought was good. I only took the installer test, I didn't have time to read the radiant precision book I had purchased also, so the next time I am able to take the exam I will do the designer exam, I'm sure that one will be a little more difficult.
All in all I thought the questions were good, important issues, as well as some easy no brainer questions which is typical of any exam. So i hope people such as yourself had an impact as to which should be included in the test. no doubt the intentions of this exam are good in my opinion, and I'm happy to offer you any feedback you might bring to your meetings.
Thanks for the congrats. I appreciate that very much coming from you...........Ant

Geographic challenges
Now if the RPA website would just let potential customers search for Canadian addresses we might get some return on our support. At least we're supported here on the wall. Dan

Passed on both
Certified for both. I thought they were pretty well written. Some questions were confusing but I felt confident I knew the material. I hope more people get on board so they mean something.0 -
Good deal
Glad to hear!
I guess I should have went for the designer exam just for the hell of it. But would rather feel more confident going in, Next time that will be the case.Great job guys!
