Domestic hot water recirculator

Several months ago I remember researching a DHW 2-pipe recirculator that pumps the cool water from the hot water side back through the cold water pipe.. Does anyone remember this post and who makes it? I want to install one in my third floor bathroom.. wire it to the light switch or via a motion detector.. this way it's not always running.. but comes on when needed..

Laing makes a recirc pump as well as Taco. Either site should contain the info you seek.

Hot Water Recirc

Craig - The Grundfos Comfort System creates a hot water recirc loop using the cold water line as the return to the water heater. The pump is installed on the water heater, and it is controlled by a timer. The cross over valve is installed under the fixture furthest from the water heater.

Taco does make one, we call it the plum n' plug with a timer and aquastat. I also recommend the Metlund system, it is truly the best out there! Check it out at www.gothotwater.com.
